Jewelry making has always been more than a hobby—it’s a craft where I can take raw materials and turn them into something meaningful, something that lasts. When I started my business, I had a vision: to create pieces people could wear with pride. But the road wasn’t easy…

Building the business from scratch demanded more than just creativity. I had to master every aspect—sourcing materials, managing finances, inventory, marketing, and constantly striving to meet expectations. There were plenty of obstacles along the way, and at times it felt like I was putting in more effort than I was getting back.

After a few years, life circumstances forced me to step away from the business. Even though I wasn’t actively making jewelry, the passion to create never left. I renovated homes, created aquascapes, landscaped and expounded my culinary skills, all the while maturing all of my crafts even when I wasn’t working on them actively.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to return to making jewelry but I’m glad I did because I approached the craft with more patience, discipline, and a stronger focus on getting better with every piece I make. Each design teaches me something new. With every bracelet or necklace, I refine my style, my technique and pushing myself to deliver better quality and sharper craftsmanship.

Now, my work isn’t just about building a business—it’s about mastering a craft. I take pride in the progress I see with every piece I create, knowing that it’s a direct reflection of the skills I’ve honed along the way. There’s no cutting corners here—only a commitment to creating something that’s as enduring as the lessons I’ve learned through the process.

I chose the beaded circle for the Unearthed logo because it reflects the symbolism of the ouroboros—an ancient emblem of renewal and transformation. Just as the ouroboros continually recreates itself, I see my own journey as one of constant growth and reinvention. My hope is that others find inspiration in this symbol, embracing the process of reinventing themselves and discovering new possibilities in their own lives.
